The yellow glass in the desert of Egypt and Libya, which flourished during the Pharaohs, has long been a question mark for many scientists, dating back millions of years.

The yellow glass, which was about 29 million years ago, is an essential component of jewelry that the ancient Egyptians wore, and was found specifically in jewelry buried next to the Pharaonic king Tutankhamun.

The glass is naturally formed when the magma is cooled quickly, so that the particles can not settle in a neat structure, as is the case with crystal. However, in the case of yellow glass, which is widely distributed in the deserts of Egypt and Libya, scientists have recently discovered, after analyzing a sample using modern technology, the reason for its formation.

Scientists have long believed that this yellow glass is the result of a meteorite explosion in the air, close to the Earth's surface, but new studies have shown it to be a direct impact of meteorite with Earth.
