Signing an investment contract for the development of Kirkuk refinery

    Deputy Prime Minister for Energy and Minister of Oil Thamer Al-Ghadan said that the investment contract for the development of Kirkuk refinery, which was concluded by the Ministry of Oil will provide 2 million barrels per day of improved gasoline and 160 tons of liquid gas.

    Al-Ghadhban said during his attendance at the contract signing ceremony: The ministry is keen to accelerate projects to promote the liquidation sector to reach the coverage of the local need and develop and improve oil products and upgrading to the approved international standards and proceed with the upgrading of Iraqi refineries and increase production capacity through the addition of new units of the current refineries and the establishment of new refineries and technology Global , noting that this contract will save two million barrels per day of gasoline improved (95) Oqain covering a large part of the need of Kirkuk and neighboring provinces.
