Parliament Speaker Mohammed al- Halbousi on Tuesday praised the history and patriotism of the al-Sa’adoon tribes in Basra, Dhi Qar, Wasit and Baghdad provinces.
The media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency "INA" a copy of it that Halbousi received the elders and dignitaries of the ancient tribes of Al-Sa’adoon in Basra and Dhi Qar, Wasit and Baghdad provinces, praising the history of these clans and patriotism throughout the ages calling God to save all the people of Iraq.
Al-Halbousi said that "the variety of the Iraqi people religiously and ethnically helps to strengthen the ties of brotherly relations between all and is a driving force to build a state of citizenship, calling on the government and its institutions to protect all components of the people without discrimination.
Al-Sa’adoon tribes in the south have shown their full readiness to maintain the principle of coexistence in all Iraqi cities, especially in the south for a prosperous future for unified Iraq and to contribute in building and development process.
