President Barham Salih received the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz and a delegation representing the Turkey Contractors Union headed by Mithat Yenigün in Baghdad.
He indicated the depth of the relation between Iraq and Turkey, and stressed the need to strengthen the bonds of economic and trade cooperation to serve the mutual interests between the two countries.
Salih asserted that Iraq is a country of attraction for investment and is in a need for the firm companies to establish projects and to provide job opportunities for the youth.
The President called on Turkish companies to contribute in the reconstruction of cities for their expertise in this area.
For their part, the Head of the Union asserted the Turkish companies’ readiness to invest and set up vital projects in Iraq.
