Salih receives the US Senate delegation

President of the Republic Dr. Barham Salih received on Tuesday at the Peace Palace in Baghdad a delegation of the US Senate, which included Senator Jack Reid, Senator Doug Jones and Senator Jane Shaheen.

Salih stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation at various levels to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples. He stressed that the two countries should play Iraq and the United States as a key role in stabilizing the region and achieving peace and prosperity for their peoples.

In turn, the members of the delegation renewed the support of the United States to Iraq to regain its health and its role in the region and the world.
