Al-Kaabi calls Chinese companies to contribute to the reconstruction of liberated cities

    First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Karim al-Kaabi, met Sunday with the delegation of the Foreign Relations Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee headed by Deputy Minister Li Jun, accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to China Chen Wicheng.

    Al-Kaabi said during the meeting that relations between Iraq and China are historic, and positive things that this relationship has not witnessed in a historical phase of decline or break, but on the contrary continued to evolve for the better, calling for there should be additional calls for Chinese companies to contribute to reconstruction projects and contribution China has good experience in the development of some Iraqi economic sectors, especially the energy sector (oil and electricity)

    The two sides discussed the importance of the strategic agreement which is expected to be signed during the coming period and the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, which exceeds 30 billion dollars annually.

    For his part, Lee said that the duty of our country to support Iraq and contribute to the reconstruction of liberated cities and benefit from the experience in overcoming many of the problems that have already suffered China, such as poverty reduction and development and service problems
