Iraqi President Receives the Special Envoy of the Indonesian President

President Barham Salih received Mr. Alwi Shihab, the Special Envoy of the Indonesian President for the Middle East and the delegation accompanying him, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad, Tuesday, March 26, 2019.

His Excellency emphasized the need for consolidating joint action in a way that fulfils the aspirations of the two friendly nations, and strengthening bonds of economic cooperation.

For his part, the Special Envoy conveyed the greetings of the Indonesian President to President Barham Salih, expressing thanks to the President for his support in initiating the trajectory of bilateral relations between Iraq and Indonesia.

The two leaders discussed the political and security situation on the Arab and international arenas, as well as dossiers and issues of mutual interest between the two countries.
