The head of the Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities Committee, Samia Al-Ghalab, announced on Tuesday an agreement between the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities and the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism in the Kurdistan Region to develop the tourism and archeology sectors and ways to preserve and preserve sites and archaeological artifacts.
"This agreement will be through workshops organized by the Institute for the Conservation of Antiquities and Heritage in the region for all staff and archaeologists in the provinces of Iraq and the exchange of ideas and experiences through electronic systems in order to speed up the achievement," she said during her participation in the Middle East Tourism Fair in Arbil.
She added that "her meetings with officials in the Kurdistan region have resulted in the opening of new horizons in the tourism sector and how to upgrade them through the implementation of successful experiences and the development of a future plan integrated through the right investments."
