Iranian President Hassan Rowhani will begin a two-day visit to Baghdad on Monday at the invitation of President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
"Rowhani will pay a three-day visit on Monday at the official invitation of the president and the Iraqi prime minister," said Parviz Ismaili, media assistant to the head of the office of the president.
"Rohani will arrive on Monday (March 11th) in Baghdad and hold bilateral talks with the Iraqi president and the prime minister on bilateral relations and regional cooperation between Iran and Iraq," Ismaili said.
"During the joint meetings, as well as the separate bilateral meetings, the delegations of the two countries will discuss the latest situation on the agreements and cooperation, as well as new opportunities for the development and consolidation of relations between the two friendly countries," he said.
He pointed out that "the results of these meetings and discussions, will be explained by the heads of the two countries to the media at a joint press conference."
He also met with the other senior Iraqi officials and political and social elites in Iraq, as well as the meeting with Mr. Ali, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Sistani and visit the holy sites. "
