Minister of Transportation Abdulla al-Leibi and the Secretary-General of EU Transports Internationaux Routiers – TIR, Umberto de Pretto discussed the joining of Iraq in the agreement of TIR.
“Having Iraq to join this agreement requires an integrated electronic binding system to block the companies of being manipulated by the Transportation companies,” said al-Leibi.
He explained that this agreement requires building quick pathways in the border crossings to facilitate going in and out of the borders by the vehicles that have the TIR mark on.
“It is highly important to enhance the efficiency of the staff by exchanging TIR expertise,” he added.
