Falla Fareed, First Iraqi Women as Speaker of KRG Parliament

Falla Fareed of Kurdistan Democratic Party – KDP was named as the Speaker of KRG Parliament.

She is the first women in such position.

This came despite the announcement of the National Union that this position belongs to it.

Hemin Hurmai was also named as the First Deputy Speaker of KRG Parliament where Muna Kahwaji (Turkmen) was chosen as the Second Deputy Speaker of KRG Parliament.
