Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi received on Wednesday the chief executive of the British Petroleum Group, Bob Dudley, who expressed the company's desire to work in Iraq and his admiration for plans to stabilize and develop the economy.
The stages and plans for the development of the current and future projects carried out by the company in Iraq were discussed.
Prime Minister welcomed the desire of the British Petroleum Group to invest in the development of oil fields in Iraq and ongoing discussions with the Ministry of Oil to strengthen cooperation by developing oil wealth and revitalize the Iraqi economy.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Energy and Minister of Oil Thamer Al-Ghadhban.
Saleh Abdullah, Minister of Industry and Minerals, opened a factory of asphalt coatings in Anbar province, which is considred the first industrial project there after liberating the province, INA's correspondent said.
