Rasafa Criminal Court (at the Presidency of Appeals Court –Baghdad/ Federal Rusafa) issued today an order to extradite an accused Malaysian to Qatar (being wanted there); according to Al-Riyadh agreement.
The Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement on Sunday (which Ina received a copy of).. : “the court decided to extradite the accused to the Qatari authorities; as he is accused of writing a check with money drawn from Qatari National Bank (which is the complaining party), and an absentee verdict was handed down by the Doha Misdemeanor Court against him”.
The statement went on to say: “the court’s order was in accordance with the provisions of Article 40 of the Riyadh Convention, and article 361 / D of the Criminal Procedure Code in Iraq. He is to be handed over to Arab and international Police; to carry out his sentence”.
