The President Barham Salih confirmed today on Iraq’s wish to cooperate with the International Bank.
The Media Office of the Presidency issued a statement, saying that the President received in his office the International Bank delegation, headed by the Chief Executive of the bank Merza Hassan.
Salih expressed Iraq’s wish to have the best ways of cooperation with the International Bank in all aspects in order to achieve prosperity and progress for the country, referring at the same time to the necessity of enhancing the work and investments opportunities in the fields of projects and economical and social development, the statement showed.
The President praised the support that the bank offers to Iraq to create effective partnership with the Iraqi financial institutions by increasing the best ways of resources and capabilities’ investments, the statement added.
From his side, the International Bank’s delegation head confirmed on supporting the Iraqi economy, expressing the bank’s wish to expand the cooperation horizons in all aspects, the statement concluded.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to increase electricity production and stability during the coming summer and to fulfill the ministry's commitments to improve the electrical system.
