The President Barham Salih received today in his office the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
The Media Office of the Presidency issued a statement saying that both sides reviewed the regional and international situations and the latest political updates and its effects on Iraq.
The statement showed that Salih and Mahdi confirmed in the meeting on the importance of supporting the government in executing its political and service programs in order to elevate the living standards of the citizens.
Both officials stressed also on the necessity of treating the obstacles among the political disagreed parties by pursuing the constructive dialogue and making the country’s national interests as a priority for all, the statement concluded.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to increase electricity production and stability during the coming summer and to fulfill the ministry's commitments to improve the electrical system.
