Iraqi-Syrian Committee discuss opening border crossings

INA - BAGHDAD

Iraqi-Syrian Committee held a meeting in Damascus, Syria to discuss the trade exchange movement and open border-crossings between the two countries.

“The main files that were discussed in activating the trading relations of which the land transport across Al Bu Kamal, also the importance of the railways linking across Al Tanif crossing-point,” said Emad Abdul Razaq, the Director of the General Company of the Land Transportation.

He explained that Ministry of Transportation is looking for rehabilitating the Iraqi-Syrian Company in Baghdad in a preparation to open the border-crossings and Transit between Iran, Iraq and Syria.

“Transit between these countries may allow to other countries crossing their lands by these crossing ports,” added Abdul Razzaq.
