Foreign Minister Mohamed Al-Hakim met with his Omani counterpart Mr. Yusuf bin Alawi on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and the prospects for upgrading them to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
They also discussed regional and international developments of common interest, Al-Hakim stressed that the current government's approach is to advance investment and to provide facilities for companies to contribute in reconstruction of the infrastructure in Iraq, especially in cities liberated from Da’esh terrorist gangs.
Al-Hakim called for the importance of upgrading the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and Muscat in framework of the establishing joint Arab action launched from the two brotherly countries.
