PM Adel Abdul-Mahdi received in his official office the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Houlin Zaou.
The Prime Minister stressed the government's interest in the development of communication technology to enter into the work of all ministries, sectors of the state and society and the need to keep up with the important sector of development and modernization.
The official expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the government in the field of communication development, and his wishes for Iraq to achieve further development in all areas, noting that he briefed during his first visit to Iraq on the details of the development in the field of communications.
He also expressed the readiness of the International Federation to support and develop the communication technology and to spread the benefit in various fields.During the meeting, they discussed the reality of communications in Iraq and the proceedings of the international conference to launch the Dom initiative of the Media and Communications Authority.
