Head of ITU: We Support Iraqi Efforts to Strengthen their Capabilities in Telecommunications

The Secretary- General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) , Mr. Houlin Zhao, admitted on Monday that Iraq has been through a lot of difficulties in the telecommunication sector, noting that he will extend to the Iraqis the consultation and support they need to develop this sector.

In an interview with the INA, held soon after his arrival in Baghdad to participate in the DOM conference, Mr. Zhao added that his visit to Iraq aims to achieve cooperation and strengthen capabilities in the Telecommunications sector.

The Head of the Information and Communication Committee in Iraq, Mr. Ali Al-Kuailidi, met too with the Secretary-General of (ITU)
