Iraqi president Barham Salih asserted the importance of international and regional cooperation to end extremism and terrorism.
This came during his meeting with the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who is making a visit to Iraq and meeting few officials meanwhile.
Both have discussed the situations in the region and the means to reach out a mutual dialogue in order to provide peace and security and to reduce the stress and instability in the Arab and regional area to end terrorism for good.
“Iraq is keen on building mutual relations with all the befriended countries and allies in order to respect Iraq's sovereignty and the independent national decisions.
Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi agreed Saturday to strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries.
President of the Republic Barham Salih received on Saturday a cable of condolence from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the tragedy of the sinking of the ferry in the Tigris River in the city of Mosul.
