Al-Halbousi congratulates Iraqi Army on its day

Speaker of Iraqi Parliament, Mohammed al-Halbousi, sent on Sunday a letter of congratulations to the Iraqi Army on its 98th anniversary.

Al-Halbousi said that the Iraqi army showed an exceptional ability that amazed the whole world and achieved a historic victory, hailing the unique example of sacrifices and bravery in fulfilling its duties in great professionalism. 

The Speaker lauded the Iraqi Army as the shield against any outer aggression and proved an extraordinary ability that astonished the world, affirming on the independence of this national foundation and to be kept away from all kinds of politicization and trends, and to represent all sections of Iraqi people.

 Al-Halbousi asserted on working together with the Iraqi government to build a strong army and to support the signing of related agreements and deals that help to enhance its better arming and training abilities, adding that during the current session of parliament, will work to issue the laws that meet the needs of security personnel.
