The First Deputy Speaker Hassan al-Ka’abi stated that we cannot be silent on theft of Internet capacity and poor service to citizens.
Al-Kaabi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that the system of granting licenses to the Internet service providers, which was adopted by the Ministry of Communications, it s ambiguous and caused the theft of hundreds of millions dollars over many years, as long as the participation fees in Iraq is the highest among the countries of the world.
He added that "the system of contracting adopted by the concerned authorities occurred at different times, and Iraq does not have the equipments to allow to know the size of entered capacities into by the concerned parties with the international equipped companies, and the volume of the consumer actually have adversely affected the nature of service received by the citizen despite of subscription fees are the highest worldwide.
