The Ministry of Defence affirmed on Tuesday that the Iraqi forces will keep on pursuing Daesh terrorist groups and anyone that may affect the national security.
Noting that, Iraqi aircraft F16 targeted locations of Daesh terrorist groups inside the Syrian areas.
“Iraqi aircraft targeted these locations according to highly intelligent information. The targets included a two-story house that used to be a place of Daesh meetings to plan and execute terrorist operations against the Iraqi security forces and the innocent citizens,” said the MOD spokesman, Yahya Rasool to INA.
He explained that around 30 Daesh members have been killed.
“This is also the first operations achieved after the announcement of Trump to withdraw the US forces from Syria,” added Rasool.
Dr. Barham Salih received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad the President of the US Central Command General Joseph Leonard Votel and his accompanying delegation.
The chief of staff of the army, General Othman al-Ghanmi, received the commander of the coalition forces in the Middle East and the accompanying delegation.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to increase electricity production and stability during the coming summer and to fulfill the ministry's commitments to improve the electrical system.
Members of the Iraqi parliamentary delegation participate in the meetings of the permanent parliamentary committees in the Arab parliament on Monday.
Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi received on Thursday the head of Kurdistan Regional Government Nijervan Barzani.
