The head of the Fatah alliance Hadi al-Ameri received at his office in Baghdad the Russian ambassador to Iraq Maxim Maximov.
The meeting focused on a review of the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow and ways to deepen cooperation in all fields.Al-Amiri also praised Russia's stance in the fight against terrorism, pointing out that Iraq is seriously looking forward to broader cooperation to enhance the role of the joint quadripartite cooperation council between Iraq, Russia, Syria and Iran.
Al Amiri said the existence of large investment opportunities for Russian companies, and Iraq needs the contribution of friendly countries in the reconstruction of the country.
Moscow is ready to support the democratic process in Iraq and contribute to the reconstruction of cities and the promotion of joint defense cooperation,Maximov said.Maximov made an official invitation to Al-Amri and the Fath Alliance to visit the Russian Federation and learn about the Russian political experience.
