The Parliamentary Agriculture Committee, Water and Marshlands, confirmed its intention to end the file of water quotas for farmers.

 Committee member Dalal Al-Gharawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Iraq currently has a good water reserve, and there must be coordination between the Ministries of Water Resources and Agriculture in this regard and the inclusion of farmers and agricultural lands with the share, especially the farmers in Maysan Governorate, who were considered by the Ministry of Agriculture as transgressors."  On the water shares, "pointing out that" the Minister of Agriculture included Maysan Governorate in the agricultural plan.
