Minister of Agriculture Muhammad Al-Khafaji announced that a team from the Airbus Company had begun to maintain and rehabilitate agricultural aircraft.
Al-Khafaji said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Tuesday: "The last visit that was conducted to France through which we were able to reduce the amount of maintenance aircraft manufactured by Airbus from 20 billion dinars to five billion."
He pointed out that "a delegation from the company arrived in Baghdad and will start during the coming days the repair and maintenance work of the aircraft," noting that there is a decision by the Council of Ministers to send a direct invitation to the company as the tender that the ministry previously announced will be canceled and negotiated directly with the manufacturer.
